On the downside Velti (Nasdaq: VELT) extended its losses after posting a third quarter loss after market close on Wednesday. Shares of Ruckus Wireless (NYSE: RKUS) tumbled in its market debut. Dole (NYSE: DOLE) disappointed with an expected loss for the third quarter. In the broad market, advancing issues outpaced decliners by a margin by nearly 3 to 1 on the NYSE and by more than 7 to 5 on Nasdaq. The Russell 2000 which tracks small cap stocks climbed 6 points to 776.
