BlackBerry launches, company shifts name

The Research in Motion (Nasdaq: RIMM) Launch is on – and the new BlackBerry? It’s giving you your own Internet, said CEO Thorsten Heins. It’s also taking over the company it’s supposed to save. Heins announced that RIM, which has an operation in Morrisville, is being renamed “BlackBerry,” under a new ticker BBRY. The device itself? It’s shiny. It’s new. And, most importantly, it’s here.
