CORAOPOLIS, Pa. (AP) _ Dick's Sporting Goods Inc. (DKS) on Thursday reported fiscal second-quarter earnings of $112.5 million.
The Coraopolis, Pennsylvania-based company said it had net income of $1.26 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 10 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.21 per share.
The sporting goods retailer posted revenue of $2.26 billion in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.2 billion.
Dick's expects full-year earnings to be $3.30 to $3.45 per share.
Dick's shares have risen almost 6% since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 13% in the last 12 months.
